Why a separate pillar
Because the calibration is different. The arc from opener to date is the same, but the inbox volume, the warmth, the timing, and the platform mix are not.
A woman in Medellin gets thirty messages a day across WhatsApp, Instagram and the apps. Missing two or three messages while still being interested is normal. A warm, playful second or even third message spaced over a few days does not read as needy the way it would in the US.
Voice notes and expressive humor re-engage far better than a cool one liner. Instagram is the platform, not the side channel. The methodology section below covers this in full.

- Functional Spanish is a real edge. You can do the early texting in English in tourist-heavy cities, but the second date and the warmth come faster in Spanish. Start with the opener blocks page.
- Is Latin America safe for solo guys?
- Each city page has a logistics and safety section. Short version: respect the time-of-day rhythms, do not put yourself in transactional scenes, and screen women through their actual profile and conversation, not their photos.
